Sean McCormack - Photographer, Studio from Galway, Ireland

While primarily studio based, I love location shooting and have comprehensive lighting kit to match both. I'm known for lighting my shoots, but often use only diffusers and reflectors. Light is light, I just like to use it to create more interest in my photos. I do travel lighter (pardon the unintenional pun) when abroad though!

That being said, I'm not photographing the light. I'm shooting you. Your clothes, your personality, your crazy insane ideas. I'm shooting your beauty, your face, your all. Capturing essence and most of all, having fun doing it.

I was nominated for the SWPP Fashion and Glamour Photographer of the year in 2010, and this year for Studio Portraiture. I won the Family Portraiture and Groups award in 2008. I'm regularly published in Irish National and Sunday papers as well as writing for Photoshop User and Clarity magazine. I'm an author for Craft and Vision and use my photos in ebooks/magazines with them.
