Shutterworks - Studio from Southampton, UK

Shutterworks Studio is the home of Scott Chalmers Photography, and brings excellent value studio hire to photographers and videographers in and around the South Coast. Hire includes use of both the main studio and separate dressing room, all lighting, modifiers, backdrops and props. Tuition and assistance is available at an extra charge - please enquire with any specific requirements.

Hourly and half-day rates available. Various props, coloured paper roll and fabric backdrops, coloured gels, softboxes, variety of modifiers.

Main studio is 4.6m x 5.6m with ceiling height of 2.9m, plus there is a separate dressing room with make-up station.

Nikon and Canon triggers

Snoot, barn doors, reflectors, coloured gels, various paper and fabric backdrops plus black/grey Lastolite pop-up backdrop. Triggers, light meter, large 215cm parabolic umbrella. Various other diffusing and reflecting umbrellas.

Props:

Burgundy chaise, crimson boudoir chair, 70s lounge chair, wicker peacock chair, 1950's pouffe, two black cube stools, white portrait stool, vintage steamer trunk, leather biker jacket, copper rams horn headpiece, boxing gloves, large black feather fans, wig, red sequinned tutu, sun visor, various sunglasses, items of jewellery, empty picture frames, silver lametta curtain, dust sheet, step stool, many yards of fabric including black crushed velvet, red crushed velvet, gold voile, gold crinkled taffeta, red/white striped circus tent fabric.

Backdrops currently available: Storm Grey, Smoke Grey, Arctic White, Black, Ultra Black, Chestnut, Crimson, Cherry, Carnation, Sulphur, Sky Blue, Kensington Damask wallpaper in dark grey (room set corner) and cream (another room set corner) plus a vinyl damask roll in dark grey and white.

Access is via 2 flights of stairs. Parking is available on the road outside for 2 hours, or from 6pm it is just £2 for an overnight space. Other car parks are available within 5-minutes walk, plus easy access to Southampton Central Train Station and bus routes.
