As a professional model or performing artist, it is extremely important to take good care of your skin.

Here are my TOP TEN skincare tips!

1. Nourishment

Skincare starts from the inside out! Nourish your body with a healthy diet and you will see the results in your skin. If your busy schedule doesn’t leave you time to make it to a natural market, look into a grocery delivery service!

2. Hydration

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep the skin hydrated.

3. Sun Protection

Wear sunscreen every day! Protect your skin from the sun throughout the year and not just in the summer. If you do like to get a bit of colour during the warmer months, avoid getting tan lines. It’s important to have an even complexion on your face and body all year long.

4. Exercise

We know that regular exercise is important for our overall health. But staying active is also great for our skin by improving circulation and easing stress!

5. Sleep

Getting proper rest will show in your skin. Be sure you are getting enough sleep regularly, and especially the night before a shoot!

6. Simplicity

When it comes to your skincare routine, remember that less is more. Stick to just a few products that your skin responds well to, and don’t overdo it.

7. Ingredients

Be conscious of what you are putting on your skin! Read the ingredients in all of your skincare products and know what they mean. Stick to products with natural ingredients as much as possible.

8. Makeup

Have a look at the ingredients in your makeup as well, and try to stick to brands that don’t use chemicals and fillers.

9. Hair Removal

Taking care of our skin means taking care of the skin all over our body! Be sure to choose the hair removal routine that’s right for you to avoid skin irritation and redness. If you have sensitive skin that doesn’t like to be shaved or waxed, try sugaring. It’s an all natural hair removal alternative that doesn’t irritate the skin.

10. Extra Care

Indulge every once in awhile and give your skin some well deserved attention. Especially during a stressful period, it’s important to take some time for yourself. Go treat yourself to a facial or spa session!
